OVERVIEW
The RHA collection of fillers by Revance is an advancement in HA filler science. These RHA fillers are designed to adapt to dynamic facial movement, wrinkles, and folds to help patients maintain a more youthful appearance, whether at rest or in motion. The Revance fillers are formulated to closely resemble natural hyaluronic acid (HA) found in the body.
Clinical studies showed a duration of up to 15 months.
- RHA 2
RHA 2 is injected into the mid to deep dermis for treatment of moderate dynamic folds and wrinkles.
- RHA 3
RHA 3 is injected into the mid to deep dermis for treatment of moderate to severe folds and wrinkles.
- RHA 4
RHA 4 is injected into the deep dermis to superficial subcutaneous tissue to correct moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds.
YOUR RHA APPOINTMENT
A typical RHA filler treatment usually may last 45 minutes, but it could be more or less depending on the number of areas to be treated and the depth of the wrinkles. After a brief discussion and evaluation, the practitioner will determine which RHA filler(s) are best for the areas to be injected. Topical numbing cream can enhance comfort, but minimal pain is expected after the initial injection.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Following treatment with RHA fillers, a patient should minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours.
Possible side effects include injection-site redness, swelling, discomfort, tenderness, firmness, small bumps, bruising, discoloration, and itching. Any of these are expected to subside within a couple of hours to a few days.
